I am directed by Mr. Secretary Lyttelton to refer to your letter of the 10th August asking for information regarding the various forms of assistance and pensions available for people in the United Kingdom, and to transmit to you a copy of a letter from the National Assistance Board which sets out the information you require.
I am also to add that the question of periodical reports on the general economic position of beneficiaries under the Fund resident in the United Kingdom, raised in your letter of the 9th October (Reference W.M.F. No.44/B/APP, has been referred to the Ministry of Pensions and a further letter will be sent to you on receipt of their reply.
